About the role
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Platform team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions across AWS cloud environments and on-premise datacenters.
You will play a key role in driving the evolution of our hybrid cloud strategy, ensuring seamless integration between cloud and on-premise systems while supporting business-critical services at scale. This position combines deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, virtualization, automation, and operational excellence.
As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to infrastructure architecture, mentor engineers, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate closely with Platform Engineering, Security, DevOps, and Software Engineering teams.
This role is ideal for experienced infrastructure professionals who enjoy working across both cloud-native and traditional enterprise environments, combining hands-on technical work with architectural ownership and technical leadership.
What you'll do
· Design, deploy, and maintain core hybrid infrastructure across on-premise datacenters and AWS environments.
· Support the implementation and operation of secure, high-availability hybrid cloud connections.
· Administer foundational AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Route 53, and ELB/ALB.
· Configure secure networking and connectivity between cloud and datacenter environments using AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPNs, and VPC Peering.
· Manage Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows Server infrastructure platforms and core networking services (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, LDAP).
· Administer virtualization environments (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM).
· Handle physical datacenter operations, including server hardware maintenance, rack management, and operator room operations.
· Perform occasional travel to physical datacenters for hardware intervention, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.
· Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot basic production Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
· Assist storage operations, backups, SAN/NAS management, and disaster recovery execution.
· Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment workflows using Terraform.
· Maintain network security through firewalls, VLAN configurations, and routing policies.
· Monitor system health, performance, and security across both cloud and on-premise systems.
· Assist in cloud migration initiatives, capacity planning, and basic cost optimization efforts.
· Collaborate with cross-functional, distributed teams to ensure operational continuity and security compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001).
· Produce and maintain clear technical documentation in English.

Requirements
Language Requirements
· English: Professional working proficiency (B2 or higher) – Mandatory.
· Spanish: Native or full professional proficiency (C1 or higher) – Mandatory.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with global, multicultural teams.
Experience & Availability
· 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems and infrastructure engineering.
· 2+ years in production environments using cloud preferably AWS.
· Proven track record designing, building, and maintaining hybrid cloud architectures (preferably AWS + On-Premise integration).
· Basic Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
· Basic experience operating in international, distributed, and cross-functional teams.
· You must reside in Madrid.
· Availability to travel: Occasional travel required to physical data centers for hardware management, maintenance, or infrastructure projects.
